Get away from the fuss and flurry of the modern city and come to where holidays are about people and craftsmanship is done by hand. Shop the Ozark Folk Center State Park Craft Village during the Ozark Holidays Craft Show on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Artisans will be set up in their workshops. Guest crafters will be in shops throughout the Village and in the Visitor Center. Farmers and artisans from the Stone County Farmer's Market will join us with local produce and crafts.
It’s challenging in today’s world to find unique, high quality, handcrafted items for gifts or for your own household. The Ozark Folk Center State Park is home to more than 30 resident master crafts people in a variety of fine and functional crafts. Located in Mountain View, Arkansas, the park was founded and continues to perpetuate craftsmanship through workshops, classes, and providing studio space for master crafts people, apprentices, and students.
Entrance to the Village is through the gates below the Administration Building or below the Ozark Highlands Theater. Parking is available next to the gates.

Take time to enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds Camp Ouachita while creating a craft. At this program, you will learn the trees that are above us by looking at their leaves. Then, you will create a coaster with leaf printing techniques! This program may take place outside. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing depending on the weather.

Join us for a cozy afternoon of creativity at the Bella Vista Recreation Center as we turn simple glass vessels into enchanting miniature winter worlds. You’ll learn how to design, layer, and decorate a living terrarium filled with lush moss, ferns, and holiday accents — perfect for gifting or displaying all season long. Each participant will receive everything needed to create their terrarium:
A curated selection of moss, ferns, and soil layers
Seasonal décor like pinecones, berries, and ornaments
Choice of vessel: a classic glass bowl or a modern geometric terrarium

Pedal and Picnic - Fall Bike Ride

Meeting Place: CCC Hike and Bike Trail Parking by the Old Visitor Center
Join a park interpreter for a family-friendly bike ride along the CCC Hike and Bike Trail. We’ll start at the Old Visitor Center trailhead, ride to Mather Lodge with a stop at the Lower Cedar Creek Canyon overlook, then return together. Bring your own picnic or purchase a trail treat at the lodge. Don’t forget your bike, helmet, and water! This bicycle ride is about 3 miles long in total. The program will last about 1 hour.

Join a park interpreter to learn about the rich history of Lake Sylvia and Camp Ouachita. Glimpse into the past by touring the old Girl Scouts cabins. Look into the future while exploring our newly renovated buildings. Learn about the importance of preserving this historic site. This tour includes a stroll around the Camp Ouachita Historic Site and a short walk to the old Lake Sylvia Swim Crib. Expect the walk to be a little less than one mile. The walk may have some uneven ground but is otherwise moderate. The walk to the swim crib includes stairs. This walk will be taken at a slow pace. Make sure to bring water and wear good walking shoes.
