Sun Salutations, also known as Surya Namaskar, are a sequence of linked yoga poses dating back to ancient India. This flowing sequence of poses warms and strengthens the body. It is often practiced at the beginning of yoga classes to prepare the body for more intense poses. Practicing Sun Salutations on the summer solstice is a common tradition in yoga, involving 108 round sof this sequence. This practice is a way to honor the sun and celebrate the longest day of the year. The number 108 is considered sacred in many traditions and is associated with the sun, moon, and earth.

Paws in the Park Puppy Event

4056 Pine Hill Rd, Dover, AR

Dover Paws Rescue Adoption Event

Join us on Saturday the 30th at the Russellville Dog Park at Pleasant View Park for a fun puppy adoption event!

We currently have several puppies looking for loving forever homes. At this time, they are still too young to be spayed/neutered, so all adopters will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have them fixed when age appropriate, along with keeping up with their vaccinations and care.

We are waiving adoption fees to help these babies find good homes. However, our rescue is running very low on dog food right now, so if you are able, donations of puppy food or dog food would be greatly appreciated in place of an adoption fee. Every bag truly helps us continue rescuing and caring for these animals.

We’ll also have balloons, free hot dogs, and the playground right next door so the kids can have fun too!

Our goal is to make sure each puppy goes to a safe, responsible, and loving home while also making sure they receive proper veterinary care as they grow.

Thank you all for supporting Dover Paws Rescue and helping us give these puppies the future they deserve.

Join a park interpreter at the Fishing Pier for your chance to pull a seine in Lake Bennett. Once we have completed our seine pulls, we will identify what we catch. Please wear clothes that can get wet and sturdy shoes (no flip flops or slides) for the opportunity to participate.
