There are some great adventures up this weekend!

It’s another summer weekend in the Natural State! Get ready for a jam-packed weekend with LOTS of opportunities to explore and enjoy our beautiful state.

Look for daytime temperatures to in the mid 90s and overnight temperatures in the mid 70s. We have a chance of rain each day. Regardless, there are lots of great indoor as well as outdoor events taking place and we always recommend checking with the venue before heading out to an event to make sure nothing has changed.

If you know of any events we should add to this or future editions of “This Weekend in Arkansas”, let us know! In the meantime, we have selected a few of our favorite events for the weekend! Here is our guide to what’s happening this weekend in Arkansas!

If you decide to join any of these events, be sure to mention that Live Love Arkansas sent you!

Simply click the red text(or the photo) to see more details about each event.

However you choose to spend your weekend, we wish you a fantastic one!

NOTE: As always, we do our best to bring you accurate information… however, we encourage you to reach out to event venues to confirm before you head out to an advertised event!

To earn the title and the hardware, you’ll need to conquer two of our favorite July traditionals back-to-back:

Finishing both races isn't just about the miles—it’s about the loot. Every runner who completes the challenge will receive a limited-edition Beat the Heat Challenge Coin. This custom-designed coin features our sweating chicken and peach duo, immortalizing your grit during the hottest stretch of the year.

Don’t Wait—Spots are Limited!
Between the tradition of the Peach Fest and the community spirit of the Brent Morrison Memorial, these races are staples of the Arkansas summer circuit. Be prepared to paddle approximately 2 miles. Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet. Bring a bottle of water plus any snacks you may need. Children must be at least 6 years old to participate with an adult, and at least 10 years old to paddle a boat solo. Kayaks are limited and registration is required. Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group

1808 West Main St, Russellville, AR

Saint Mary’s is launching a new Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group. The second gathering will take place on July 12 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Saint Mary’s Cafés, located at 1808 W Main Street in Russellville.

Spanish support will be available, and mothers are welcome to participate in either English or Spanish. The group is open to all mothers in the community, regardless of where they delivered or received their care.

The group will be led by Nicole Sweet and Edith Magdaleno, two women who have personally experienced the pain of losing a child and who are passionate about supporting other mothers in their healing journeys.

Saint Mary’s created this group as part of its commitment to caring for the emotional well‑being of families. Loss is often a quiet experience for many mothers, and community support can play a vital role in the healing process.

The group is open to any mother in the community who has faced pregnancy or infant loss at any stage. Attendees can expect a warm, informal environment where they can participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable, with guidance from leaders who deeply understand the journey of grief.

Registration is not required. For more information, contact Nicole at 479.858.1139 or Edith at 479.647.2232.
