Foodies can dig into the Taste of the Delta's food truck cookoff in Marianna, gearheads can browse 300+ rides at the 42nd Annual Antique and Classic Car Show at Mammoth Spring, and music lovers can catch three days of camping and live sets at Space Wooks Music Festival in Cord.
Expect sunny, hot weather all weekend with highs near or at triple digits, evenings cooling into the mid-70s, and no rain in sight for another week or so.

WAIVER / RELEASE OF LIABILITY!!
By entering, participants acknowledge they have read and understand these rules. Participation is voluntary, and entrants assume all risks, including weather, injury, death, boat traffic, and river conditions. Entrants waive and release AACH TOURNAMENT trail , Jamie Bardsley ,sponsors, officials, staff, and volunteers from liability. Entrants also grant permission for use of photos, videos, or event records for promotional purposes.
1. Safety rules
* Life Vests: are encouraged while underway.
* Weather: The event will continue unless the director and five (5) randomly selected captains deem condition
* Insurance: Boat owners are responsible for maintaining liability insurance covering all passengers.
2. Mandatory Captains Meeting 30 minutes prior to launch time. Need to be signed up and fees paid prior to captains meeting. Random live well checks .
3. 4 anglers per boat , kids under 16 can be extra .
4. There is no rod limit .
5. All fishing and boating regulations must be followed during the event.
6. There is a 3 fish limit for weigh-in. when 4th fish is caught one must be culled !!!
7. All fish weighed in must be alive and good health for weigh in.
(a) Dead fish at scales is disqualification!!
(b) Stringers are not allowed.
(c) Must have a live well capable of keeping fish alive the duration of the tournament. Oxygen aeration not mandatory but highly recommended!!!!
8. Fishing within 50 yards of a marina gas pump or 50 feet from another boat which was first anchored or spot locked is prohibited.
9. All fish must be caught with rod and reel only. No fish may be taken from trot, limb or jug lines or yoyos. No snagging allowed.
10. All fishing must be done from a boat.
11. Trailing allowed at some events
12. The use of legal commercial bait and legal natural bait is allowed. No chumming or fishing known chumming holes.
13. No fishing after midnight (12-6 AM) before tournament.
14. No use of drugs or alcohol during tournament hours.
15. In case of a tie, pot will be split accordingly. Or ( coin flip ),, coin flip will determine position for points .
16. Kids under 16 are are eligible for kids big fish
1. We will have a blast off after all the boats are in the water
2. Disorderly conduct, bad sportsmanship = disqualification
Payout will be 50% 1st place
30% 2nd place and
20% 3rd
100% payback after $100 for trail expenses when needed
Big fish pot 100% payout
Angler of the year will be determined by best score , one event can be dropped - If a tie there will be a fish off at the classic!!
will be based on 100 points for first —99 second—-98 third etc….
No weight at event will receive 50 points for showing up and fishing ..
All protests must be submitted in writing to director before scales close ( a good video of violation will be expected)

We will meet up at the South Campus, 414 South 4th, Van Buren and leave from there at 7:30am. At Devil's Den we'll hike the Moonshiners Trail. It is a short hike, less than a mile total. It is rated as an easy- slightly moderate hike, and kid friendly. No strollers, as this is a natural trail with rocks etc. We'll take our time and keep it as easy as possible. Afterward we'll head down to the main park area for a picnic, devotional, fellowship, and games. Fishing is allowed and there is a swimming pool. Please bring lawn chairs, drinks, and whatever you want to eat. Don't forget sunscreen and bug spray! Bring a friend

Join us for our monthly hike for adults on the first Saturday of each month. Each hike will include healthy outdoor recreation, sharing some of nature’s secrets, and the opportunity to socialize. Bring a friend and meet some new ones. Dogs are welcome if they are leashed and not aggressive. The trail, distance, and time may vary each month, but fun will always be had. For the September hike we’ll meet at the visitor center and hike approximately 5 miles on the Huckleberry Loop of the Pigeon Roost Trail. This is a moderate hike. Snacks will be provided. Recommended for ages 18 and up.

Join us for a special night sky presentation and view night sky objects, such as stars and planets, through high-powered telescopes. Birding Hike on the Little Missouri

Meet a park interpreter at the trailhead of the Little Missouri River Trail to learn all about the world of birding. This 1.2-mile trail winds its way through the woods from the campground to the scenic Little Missouri River. A portion of this trail is paved, and the unpaved section is easily walked. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. The park interpreter will have one set of binoculars to share.

Begin your day with a peaceful cruise on Lake Ouachita. A park interpreter will serve as your guide while the scenery, wildlife, and stories of the land start your day. Reservations can be made at the visitor center or by calling (501) 767-9366. Space is limited. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early because the boat must depart on time.

Hike the Solar System

Embark on an exploration of the solar system without leaving Queen Wilhelmina State Park. We will start at the Sun, making pit stops at each planet. Using the Spring Trail and a little imagination, you will gain a greater understanding of our solar system while taking in the views offered by the surrounding Ouachita Mountains. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water to drink for an easy 1-mile hike along the Spring Trail.
