Fall has finally arrived in Arkansas, and there's a lot going on to celebrate it! Wander through gems and crystals at the Mount Ida Gem, Mineral & Craft Show, pick your own pumpkin and tackle a six-acre corn maze at the Arkansas Pumpkin Fest in Black Rock, or step back into Dragonstone Springs at the Arkansas Renaissance Festival in Mount Vernon. Foodies can hit two festivals in one at the Spa City Food Truck Festival and Big Steam Blues & Roots Music Festival in downtown Hot Springs, adventurers can chase whitewater at the Arkansas Canoe Club Rendezvous in Malvern, and the community can come together for a good cause at the Buddy Walk Arkansas at War Memorial Stadium.

The Arkansas Canoe Club Rendezvous is in its 30 somethinth year. Its historically a casual gathering after the low-water summer months to reconnect with river friends and meet new ones in preparation for Arkansas's rainy season. Part party, part learning something new, this weekend is a great way to meet your next boating buddy around the campfire or while surfing the waves at the Whitewater Park.

Restorative Yoga is a gentle, deeply supportive practice designed to activate the body's natural relaxation response and encourage healing from the inside out. Rather than building strength or flexibility, this practice focuses on creating comfort, stillness, and ease.
Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, you'll be fully supported in a small number of floor-based poses held for 5–20 minutes each. With the body completely supported, muscles can release unnecessary tension, the mind can begin to settle, and the nervous system is invited into a restorative "rest-and-digest" state.
This class is open to all levels and requires no prior yoga experience. It is especially beneficial for those experiencing stress, burnout, fatigue, injury recovery, or anyone seeking a slower, more intentional practice to balance an active lifestyle. Expect to leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and deeply renewed.

Enjoy the beauty of Lake Fort Smith from a kayak. Take the opportunity to observe quiet coves, waterfalls, and wildlife available from the unique perspective of a kayak. Flatwater kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets are provided. No previous paddling experience is necessary. A park interpreter will demonstrate the basics of kayaking and answer questions along the way.
This tour is for paddlers who appreciate a more relaxed pace, but all participants ages 6 and up are welcome. Participants must be at least 14 years old to paddle solo. Space is limited, so reservations are required. Contact the marina for reservations and payment. Wear clothes/shoes that can get wet. Sunscreen, insect repellent, and water are highly recommended.

Deep in the Delta woods sits a place few people have seen in decades — the Yancopin Bridge. Join a park interpreter for a 3‑mile round‑trip hike on Delta Heritage Trail, a journey that lasts about 2.5 hours.
This hike begins on a gravel-surface trail, leading about one mile into a lowland forest before reaching the historic railroad bridge stretching roughly 0.5-miles across the Arkansas River. This impressive structure offers sweeping views of the river and tells the story of the former rail line’s challenging crossing, set within a quiet, forested landscape.
Participants will meet at the Watson trailhead and then caravan in their own vehicles to a location near the bridge. Registration is required by calling the park no later than 5 p.m. the day before the program at (870) 572-2352.
Bring drinking water, snacks, insect repellent and sunscreen, and wear comfortable hiking footwear. Be ready for a memorable walk into a remote corner of the Delta.

Watch the farm come alive with stunning pumpkin displays, beautiful sunflower and zinnia fields, vibrant photo opportunities, exciting live entertainment and more than 45 family-friendly activities! Explore our themed six-acre corn maze, take a scenic hayride around the lake, visit the animals in the petting barn, race down the giant slides, soar across the zip lines and enjoy unforgettable fall fun for all ages.
The excitement continues with jumping pads, pedal karts, a giant corn pit, tire mountain, trike track, ninja obstacle course, cow train and so much more. Additional attractions include pony rides, face painting, pumpkin cannons, the Paintball Barn, Extreme Corn Hole and gem mining. Come hungry and enjoy delicious festival food and drinks from the Back Porch Grille, BBQ Shack, Wagon Wheel, Chicken Shack and Watering Hole.

Deep in the Delta woods sits a place few people have seen in decades — the Yancopin Bridge. Join a park interpreter for a 3‑mile round‑trip hike on Delta Heritage Trail, a journey that lasts about 2.5 hours.
This hike begins on a gravel-surface trail, leading about one mile into a lowland forest before reaching the historic railroad bridge stretching roughly 0.5-miles across the Arkansas River. This impressive structure offers sweeping views of the river and tells the story of the former rail line’s challenging crossing, set within a quiet, forested landscape.
Participants will meet at the Watson trailhead and then caravan in their own vehicles to a location near the bridge. Registration is required by calling the park no later than 5 p.m. the day before the program at (870) 572-2352.
Bring drinking water, snacks, insect repellent and sunscreen, and wear comfortable hiking footwear. Be ready for a memorable walk into a remote corner of the Delta.
