Costumes, Candy, and a Little Arkansas Adventure 🎃🍂

The costumes are ready. The candy buckets are waiting. And October 30–November 1 brings plenty of ways to spend Halloween weekend in Arkansas, whether you’re taking the kids out for treats, meeting friends downtown, or squeezing in a little fall exploring.

Start with us! Live Love Arkansas’s annual Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat is Friday from 4–6 PM at 2608 E Parkway Drive in Russellville. Load up your little pumpkins and roll through for treats from our agents and affiliates. We’d love to see those costumes!

You’ll also find a free, family-friendly Fall Festival at the Arkansas Center for the Creative Arts in Fort Smith on Friday. On Saturday, Halloween at Handlebar in downtown Russellville brings costumes and outdoor live music, with all ages welcome outside.

Still have room for Sunday plans? Browse locally made goods at the NWA Makers’ Market in Fayetteville, enjoy games and food at Benton’s Harvest Toss Fall Festival, or catch opening night of the Piccolo Zoppé Winter Circus in Harrison.

Prefer a little fresh air? Check out Friday’s Lake Dardanelle cruise or Sunday’s Rock House Cave Hike at Petit Jean State Park.

In Russellville, expect highs in the low-to-mid 70s, lows near 61, and occasional rain Saturday. Keep an eye on the forecast as you make outdoor plans.

Browse the events below and click any red event title or photo for details. Confirm times and availability with the organizer, grab your favorite people, and go make a few Arkansas memories!

Arkansas Fall Colors at 5 PM

Harrison, Arkansas

ARKANSAS FALL COLORS PHOTO WORKSHOP – Limited to 8
Oct. 28th - Oct. 31st 2026

Experience the beauty of Arkansas’s fall foliage.

Arkansas the natural state rarely fails to leave an impression on the beholder. This is especially true during autumn when hues of yellow, orange and red play across the rugged terrain. Add deep blue skies, rolling terrain, streams and some elk and you have the ingredients of every landscape photographers’ dreams.

Cool crisp mornings, musky autumn scents and elk bugling in the distance complete the assault on one’s senses creating the most magical time to photograph Arkansas.

The Arkansas Fall Colors Photo Workshop conducted by Blair Ball is designed to capture this specific period of the year, when the mountain range gets the most stunning colors from hickory, maple, oaks, other trees and plants in the area – it is truly a magical experience to witness and photograph such magical transformations.

FREE Halloween Mini Photo Treat is Back!

We had so much fun doing this last Halloween, so I’m bringing it back again this year!

On Saturday, October 31, I’ll be offering FREE quick Halloween photos at the Madison County Public Library — on the north side of the library. (827 N.College Avenue, Huntsville, AR 72740)

5-minute mini session
A small gallery of edited images
Kids, families & costumes welcome!
Limited reserved time slots
4:15–6:00 PM

This is just a little Halloween photo treat from Penprapa Berry Photography before everyone heads out for trick-or-treating!

Because these are very quick, limited free sessions, I’d love to keep the reserved spots primarily for families who live in or around Madison County and our nearby communities.

This year, time slots will be available to reserve through my Pixieset booking page to help keep everything organized and make sure everyone with a reserved spot gets their turn.

Please only reserve a time if you plan to attend. If you can’t make it, please cancel your spot so another family can have it.

Gallery Delivery: Photos from this event will be delivered through one shared online gallery for participating families. A gallery link will be sent after the event, and participants will be able to view and download their own images. Please note that other participating families will also be able to view the shared gallery.

Reservations are required so I can make sure everyone gets their photo treat within the scheduled time. Once all time slots are filled, booking will close.

FREE — no purchase necessary.

Can’t wait to see all the costumes!
